The first version of Vector Racer was made by myself, Dick van Hirtum, Jeroen den Dekker and Lennart Kraak, as part of a Java programming course in 2002. The tracks that were made are still in the game: desert storm (Dick), ice age (myself), lake district (Lennart), road rampage (Jeroen).
I rewrote the original Vector Racer code into a Java applet and also made a 4 kilobyte version for the Java Unlimited 4k 2007 contest. Both can still be found here »
The current version was made in 2010/2011 using GWT (Google Web Toolkit) and only requires a JavaScript-enabled browser.
